WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS
This month was pretty consumed with getting the Knoxville building sold. We were in a weird limbo period. Stuff is packed up and I’m feeling disorganized and overwhelmed. Stuck with simple pencil drawings… trying to focus on consistency.

loose watercolor flower session (based on watching Peggi paint flowers on Patreon)

Week 2 [05/05/25- 05/11/25]
loose semi-blind bird drawings using Birds & Blooms books
Week 3 [05/12/25- 05/18/25]

1 SKILL I’M WORKING ON
Consistency in the midst of chaos.
2 THINGS I LEARNED
I’m feeling very aware of the “nothingness” that I have to offer, and I’m very thankful that I know the Truth of God’s Word. I’m right that I have nothing to offer, BUT Christ died for my sins and offers Himself for me. I can live my life and make art in the freedom that Christ offers me, because my identity is in Him and what He’s done for me.
3 FAVORITE PICS
Practicing from Charles Bargue Drawing Course book.
Feeling very inspired by Mary Fedden drawing in her garden and her drawing style… I really liked how this little guy turned out.
More wonky pencil birds.
